WHAT WE OFFER

WHAT WE PROVIDE THROUGH THE PROJECT – WHAT IT INVOLVES?

As a participant in the project, you will receive appropriate support in the form of workshops, training, and meetings. See what we have prepared for you.

1. Profiling Participants' Needs (Needs Assessment) and Monitoring Support - Meeting with a Psychologist and Translator

Support will be focused on the individual and their specific needs, varying by categories of individuals, considering elements such as knowledge of the Polish language, cultural differences, migration status, gender, age, etc. This comprehensive analysis will allow for tailoring the support offered to meet the actual needs of the Project Participant.

As part of this task, the psychologist will analyze the problems and needs of potential participants within the project’s implementation area to ensure that the support provided aligns well with the identified social integration issues and needs of the Project Participants. Through the conducted assessment and the support of a translator, the psychologist will enable the participant to effectively engage in the project by selecting assistance that leads to improving their social situation.

2. Polish Language Course

The aim of the training is for Participants to acquire language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) that will enable them to communicate freely in Polish, both orally and in writing, contributing to their better social integration. Special emphasis during the sessions will be placed on the practical use of the language, especially in everyday interpersonal interactions and daily life situations—speaking, understanding, and grammar. The training will conclude with an internal exam. Each Participant will acquire competencies confirmed by an appropriate certificate detailing the learning outcomes related to the skills acquired. The verification of these competencies will take place over four stages: Scope, Pattern, Assessment, and Comparison. Training sessions will be conducted in group formats. During the course, Participants will be provided with teaching materials and catering for meals will be arranged.

As part of the support, we offer:

  • Insurance
  • Reimbursement of travel costs for some participants
  • Costs for childcare/dependent care for some participants

3. Training on Polish Values and Culture

The training focuses on acquiring knowledge about Polish culture and values that facilitate functioning in Polish society. Understanding Polish culture plays a key role in social integration. Many citizens of third countries struggle to understand certain behaviors of Poles due to their lack of familiarity with the culture, leading to fears of communication, misunderstandings of customs, and habits, which makes them feel foreign in their new country. Participation in this training will help participants overcome barriers, fears, and prejudices that arise from encountering a different—new—culture. The training will be conducted in group sessions and will conclude with an internal exam. Each participant will acquire competencies confirmed by an appropriate certificate detailing the learning outcomes related to the skills acquired. The verification of these competencies will take place over four stages: Scope, Pattern, Assessment, and Comparison. During the course, participants will be provided with teaching materials and meals will be arranged through catering. (24 hours of support)

As part of the support, we offer:

  • Insurance
  • Reimbursement of travel costs for some participants
  • Costs for childcare/dependent care for some participants

4. Providing Practical Information on Various Aspects of Life in Poland and Support for Contacts with Local Institutions and the Community

Each participant is entitled to individual meetings with an Assistant who will provide practical information on various aspects of life in Poland and support in connecting with local institutions and the community. Citizens from third countries have access to various information points, foreigner offices, and public institutions, but the support offered there is often quite general. Unfortunately, these individuals often do not find complete solutions to their problems and still feel somewhat alienated. The individual assistant will address this issue by tailoring support specifically to the needs and situations of each person. The Assistant will provide advice and assistance in resolving issues that will contribute to a better integration process for the project participants. With the help of the Assistant, project participants will feel safer, become more open, and build positive relationships within local communities. During the course, participants will be provided with translation support. (Average of 6 hours of support)

5. Psychological Assistance

The purpose of the meetings is to provide participants with help and support in terms of social integration. Participants will receive comprehensive support regarding their difficult situations and learn how to cope with their emotions (such as anxiety, worry, loneliness, and aggression). Together with the psychologist, they will seek solutions to their problems. Participants will have the opportunity to open up and discuss with the psychologist their experiences of crises, cultural shock, separation from family, and past stress. Meetings with the psychologist will contribute to:

  • Improving the well-being of project participants
  • Better adaptation to Polish society
  • Reducing conflicts and tensions in relationships between project participants and the local community
  • Increasing participants’ engagement in social life in the new country
  • Fostering a more favorable perception of the social environment in which they function
  • Working through trauma for war refugees

During the support sessions, translation assistance will be provided to participants. (Average of 8 hours of support)

6. Legal Assistance*

Participants will have access to legal advice related to the broad understanding of functioning in society. The support will be individualized and will cover various topics, including:

  • Providing advice on legal status
  • Required documents for residence
  • Assistance in completing applications and preparing documents

The lawyer will explain to participants their rights and obligations and demonstrate how to resolve specific legal issues. The sessions will take place in the form of individual meetings. During these sessions, translation assistance will also be provided to participants. (Average of 3 hours of support)

7. Inclusion Through Culture

Third-country nationals will receive support designed to facilitate their integration into local culture while considering their diversity and traditions. During meetings between foreigners and Polish citizens, not only cultural bonds but also social ties will be strengthened. This will create opportunities for making new acquaintances and mutual support, leading to better understanding and the establishment of relationships that integrate foreign citizens into local community groups.

The range of support is extensive. Many cultural activities and events can help citizens of other countries become part of the local community and enable their integration into the culture. This may include:

  • Outings to cinemas and museums
  • Participation in cultural events
  • Involvement in intercultural workshops
  • Local sightseeing tours
  • Meetings with artists
  • Sports, animation, painting, music, vocal, culinary, theatrical, photographic, and floral activities, among others.

8. Soft Skills Training on "Green Skills"
- Raising awareness and respect for the environment
- Workshop: Zero Waste - Ecological Lifestyle (Motivation for Daily Eco-Friendly Changes)

The goal of this training is to familiarize participants with the principles and solutions of the Zero Waste philosophy that can be implemented in their lives, especially in the context of the climate crisis and environmental protection. Participation in these sessions will enhance awareness and respect for the environment.

Familiarizing participants with the Zero Waste principle will influence their thoughtful choices, reduce consumerism, promote care for the environment and the future of the planet, and ultimately lead to healthier living. Participants will learn how to generate minimal waste, thereby reducing environmental pollution. The Zero Waste idea addresses the damage caused by a consumerist lifestyle.

The training will take place in a group format and will conclude with an internal examination. Each participant will acquire skills, confirmed by a certificate detailing the learning outcomes related to the acquired competencies. The verification of competencies will occur through four stages: Scope, Pattern, Assessment, Comparison. Participants will receive teaching materials and catering during the course, along with translation support.
